Any comments for my skin?

It is a most interesting skin. I would like to consider using it to build a small Telecommunications Compendium, having all MediaWiki facilities but avoiding the Wikipedia looks.

I would love if the Jack Slocum commenting system (see its left hand, or west, vertical bar numbers) could be integrated in this skin, to allow anonymous readers to leave comments or questions to the Compendium without forcing them to register and login.

I am looking forward to testing Version 2. Do you have any delivery date?

Thanks for your comments, it's a great idea.

The version 2 will be released in two or three weeks. Due to my final exams, version 2 is a little bit delayed; but this version will be "Next Generation" since greatly improved performance, categorized CSS files and documentation in CSS files.

David Schissler had found two problems with my skin:

  • Problem of placing divs with absolute positioning inside of the body area.
  • Search field conflicts with AJAX search in MediaWiki.

Right now, I'm looking into it and try to fix it in the next release. Thanks for great feedback from David Schissler.

Paul,

This is a really great skin. I've been using it on a wiki I manage for a few weeks now. As things go, I've hacked it a bit to fit my needs but your over all design makes for a very clean looking wiki.

You can see it at http://www.libsecondlife.org/

Modified to fluid width down to 382 px as well as a little change to the color scheme. Changes were not for the best on IE so min width limited to around 700px or so there. It was only necessary to go down to less than 400 px in Mozilla for use in an embedded browser.

Looking forward to v3 though probably not able to use it as default without some of the same modifications.

Great skin, but problems with 800x640 resolution

Dear Paul,

Very nice skin and would love to use it but found some problems with the tabs on the top when you have a lower resolution screen. At 800x640 for instance, the tabs are shifted behind the logo and some other fields are overwritten. Maybe you can look into this and update the skin if you have time.

Thanks and I am looking forward for your update.
